For the third time in as many years, a baby giraffe has been born at the Cincinnati Zoo. The Zoo provided live coverage on Twitter of the event early Monday. The calf was on its feet soon after being delivered.
Tessa is the mother of the new calf and this is the third time she has given birth since 2011. The first calf died after suffering a broken leg but the second Lulu was in the Giraffe House to witness the birth.
There is no word yet on when the new giraffe will go on display.
