(Colerain Twp., Oh) An Ohio State Trooper stopped a gray 2013 Hyundai for driving without headlights on at about 11:45 p.m. Tuesday on the Ronald Reagan Cross County Highway at the Colerain Avenue exit. The Trooper made contact with the driver and asked him for his license.  The driver stated that he did not have it.  The Trooper then ordered the driver out of the vehicle.  The driver then accelerated away and fled. Then at 12:02 a.m. Wednesday the Hamilton County Communication Center received a call of a single vehicle crash on US 27 north near East Miami River Road.  Upon arrival at the scene, the driver of the vehicle had fled on foot and the vehicle was confirmed to be the same one that had sped away from the Trooper. The car had crashed into a pole.

A canine track was completed, but unsuccessful.  The driver was described as an early twenties, African-American, male, with short corn rows, wearing a white t-shirt with a black unzipped sweatshirt.
