Tri-State Events for the 4th of July Weekend

(Cincinnati, Oh.)--Looking to celebrate Independence Day this weekend, several communities in the Tri-state are holding their own celebrations with local parades festivals and fireworks.

The impressive Fourth of July fireworks will be on July 4th and July 5thh, at Kings Island located at 6300 Kings Island Drive, Mason.

The fireworks display will start at 10 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday. Don Helbig, Operations Manager at Kings Island, says that the event is growing each year. "Every year it gets bigger and better and this year our fireworks display on July 4th is going to be 10 times the size and score of our traditional nightly fireworks."

Kings Island will stay open until midnight on July 4th and 5th, letting the guests enjoy night rides on the Banshee, Beast and Diamondback.

To get a fantastic viewing spot, Mr. Helbig recommends setting up around 9 p.m. at the Coney Mall near the Dodgem, behind the Eiffel Tower or anywhere on International Street.

Active and retired military receive free admission from July 3 - 6 and can also purchase up to 6 tickets for friends and family- $29.99 at front gate.

Parking will be $15 regular, and $22 for preferred parking.

More Events on July 4th:


On July 4, the Norwood Hometown Fireworks event will be at Shea Stadium- located at 2603 Harris Ave., Norwood, OH.


The fireworks show is free and the event starts at 6 p.m.- 10 p.m.

There will be food from vendors, including Kona Ice. A special zoo attraction will be set up in   a kid's area. Fireworks start at 10 p.m.

Northside Fourth of July Parade on Hamilton Ave, starts at Noon - 2 p.m. on July4th.

The mile-long parade will end at Jacob Hoffner Park where the celebrations continue with the Northside Rock N' Roll Carnival at Hoffner Park.

The 49th Annual Independence Day Fireworks display will be at Ault Park on July 4th, located at 3600 Observatory Avenue, Cincinnati.

It's free to get in the park with events starting at 11am on the 4th, and running until 10 p.m.

Events in the morning include a children's bike parade.  Food vendors and live music by My Girl Friday, will be performed though out the day.  The fireworks show starts at 10 p.m.

On July 4th from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. The Holiday Kids' Fishing Tournament, will be on Lake Isabella at 10174 Loveland-Madeira Road in Symmes Township. The Tournament is Free but a Vehicle Permit ID is required, the cost is $10 for an annual pass, $3 for a daily pass.

The park welcomes up to 160 children under the age of 13 to fish along the banks on Lake Isabella, Any children who catch a fish will receive a trophy.

The Loveland Firecracker Festival will be on July 4th from 4 p.m.- 11 p.m. at 127 W Loveland Avenue, in Loveland, OH.


Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. The Family Friendly event will include inflatables and a children's musician. The parade steps off at 7 p.m., live music will be performed by The Rusty Griswolds, Taylor Shannon and other acts.

Harrison Community Center- 300 George Street, Harrison, OH will host their Fourth of July Celebration on July 4th, starting at 10 a.m., with a parade.

Starting at 5 p.m. entertainment in the Harrison Community Center will include food and drink vendors, clowns and games for children and live music. Fireworks start at dusk.

4th of July Celebration at Stricker's Grove- 11490 Hamilton-Cleves Road, Hamilton, Starts at 2pm. on July 4th.

Admission to the park, is free parking will be $5, normal ticket prices for rides.

The private amusement park offers visitors 15 rides and two roller coasters, carnival games, food, and music.

Events on July 5th:

The Art Fair 562 at Listermann Brewing Company will be held at 1621 Dana Avenue, Cincinnati, on July 5th from noon- 6 p.m.


The event will be FREE and visitors can expect to see more than 40 local arts and crafts vendors, live music and food and dessert trucks.\

Welcome Home: A Salute to Service will be held at Sawyer Point Park at 705 East Pete Rose Way, in Cincinnati. The Free event will be held on July 5th from 11 a.m. - 10:30 p.m.

There will be a parade and festival for all veterans and service with live music from 2 p.m. - 10 p.m. with a firework show to finish off the event.

The Fourth of July Fireworks will be held in Washington Park at 1230 Elm Street, Cincinnati.

The event will take place on July 5th from noon- 10:15 p.m.

There will be Bike decorating at noon, face painting, games and food in Washing Park Including live music. The fireworks show starts at 10 p.m.

Wyoming's July 4th Festivities are to be held at the Wyoming Rec Center at 9940 Springfield Pike, Wyoming OH.

The festivities start at 9 a.m. - 10:30 p.m. There is a $10 early registration for the fun run cost jumps to $15 for the day of registration.

The events start with a parade at the Rec Center, followed by a Muddy Pig Run in Noah Park and a concert and fireworks in Oak Park.

The 33rd Annual Conquer the Hill 10K will take place at the Evendale Recreation- 10500 Reading Road, Cincinnati. The race is on July 4th from 8 a.m. - 11 a.m. with a $15 entrance fee and $20 on race day.

There will be a $25 award to the first male and female finishers in each age group of the 10K run and walk.

The Red, White & Blue Ash is held at Blue Ash Summit Park- 4335 Glendale-Milford Road, Blue Ash.

The event is free and takes place on the Fourth of July from 4 p.m. - 10:35 p.m.


There will be live music, free games for kids, carnival rides (with a fee) and much more. You can dropping off chairs or blankets to "save" a spot between 7 a.m.- 10 a.m.

Hamilton's Fourth of July Celebration will be on July 4th starting at 10 a.m.

The Fourth of July parade begins at 10 a.m. at the Butler County Fairgrounds. A ceremony recognizing military veterans and live music will follow.

The Taste of Hamilton, starts downtown after the parade and visitors can listen to live music at RiversEdge Ampitheater.
