Update: Trustees voted the plans for a new Kroger Marketplace down Tuesday night. They say if the plans are adjusted there is still hope for the new Kroger. Trustees also say they would be open to another business locating there.

(West Chester) If plans go through, developers will build the second largest Kroger Marketplace store on a 36-acre site at corner of Tylersville Road and SR 747 in West Chester. The largest Kroger Marketplace is in Centerville, Ohio. Township trustees will hold a second reading of the amendment to change the zoning map and approve plans for the development at their meeting Tuesday night. They could also vote on the issue. The public will get a chance to give input on the development during the meeting. Some neighbors have been concerned the new store would pose safety risks with extra traffic and insufficient sidewalks. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the West Chester Township Hall.
