2 packages dry yeast

2 cups lukewarm water (110 °F. )

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup sugar

7 to 8 cups bread flour

2 eggs, beaten

1 stick butter, melted
Dissolve yeast in the water. Stir in the salt and sugar. Stir in 1/2 cup of flour and beat until smooth. Add the eggs and butter and beat well.
Continue to add flour , mixing, until the dough is stiff enough to pull away from the sides of the bowl.
Turn out and knead on a floured surface, continuing to add flour until dough is not sticy.
Place in an oiled bowl, turning to oil the top.
Let rise in a warm place until doubled.
Shape into 2 loaves and place in greased loaf pans. Let rise until doubled.
Bake in a preheated 350 °F. oven for 30 minutes.
Turn out and brush tops with butter.
