The Granola:

 

  • 2 cups oatmeal

 

  • 2 cups wheat or oat bran

 

  • 1 1/2 cups nuts

 

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded, unsweetened coconut

 

  • 1 cup sunflower seeds

 

  • 1 cup canola oil

 

  • 1 cup honey

 

  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds

 

  • 1 teaspoon salt

 

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla

 

Mix together and bake in a 300 °F. oven for I hour.  Stir every 15 minutes.

 

Cool.

 

 

 

Granola Bars:

 

  • 6 cups of the baked granola mix

 

  • 1 cup honey

 

  • 1 cup peanut butter

 

  • 1 cup non-fat dry milk

 

Mix together and press very firmly into a greased jellyroll pan.  Chill thoroughly.  Cut into bars.
