• 1 stick butter
 
  • 1 cup 1/2 and 1/2
 
  • 1 cup brown sugar
 
  • 3 egg yolks
 
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
 
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
 
  • 1 cup flaked coconut
   Melt the butter in a heavy saucepan. Stir in the cream, sugar and beaten egg yolks.  Cook, whisking constantly, for 7 minutes over low heat.  Remove and cool.  Stir in the vanilla, nuts and coconut.
