•   1 cup self-rising flour
  •   2 tablespoons sugar
  •   2/3 cup solid shortening
  •   3/4 cup water
  •   1 egg

Blend together all ingredients on low in the electric mixer for 2 minutes. Spread into a 9 or 10" pie pan. Dump some fruit filling in the center.

Bake at 425 °F. for 35 to 40 minutes.
