Cake:

  •   1 cup coconut
  •   1 cup chopped pecans
  •   1 box German Chocolate Cake Mix

Mix coconut and pecans. Put into a greased 9 x 13 pan. Mix cake mix according to directions. Spread onto coconut-pecan mix.

Topping:

  •   1 stick butter or margarine
  •   8 ounce package cream cheese
  •   1 pound box confectioners' sugar

In a saucepan, heat butter and cream cheese until warm enough to stir in confectioners' sugar. Spoon mixture on top of cake mix.

Bake at 350 °F. for 35 to 40 minutes. Do not cut until cooled.

This cake is not meant to be flipped over like other upside-down cakes.

Serve from pan.
