- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup oil
- 3 beaten eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 cup chopped prunes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon each: allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla
Beat in eggs.
Blend together the dry ingredients.
Stir nuts and prunes into the dry mixture.
Add alternately to egg mixture with buttermilk.
Add vanilla.
Allow to sit for 15 minutes before removing from pan.
