• 1/2 cup butter, softened

 Cream together the butter, sugar, yolk and vanilla.Blend in the flour and saltRoll into small ballsPress a thumb print in the middle.Bake in a 375 º F. oven for 12 -13 minutes.Cool on a rack and put frosting in the middle.
