Slammin Sarah
In by far the biggest moment of her political life, Sarah Palin absolutely (as Olbermann would say for a Democrat) knocked this one out of the park. Not only was it a well delivered speech---she got the crowd going by just slamming Obama all over the place. This speech is what conservatives have been waiting a long, long time for. Someone who is real, articulate, and here's a crazy idea: CONSERVATIVE! Were we looking at a VP or a future President?
Conservative Porn
Palin was so inspiring, Glenn needs some appropriate music for the mood of this speech: Barry White. Watching this was basically porno for conservatives. It just doesn't get any better than this (unfortunately for McCain, he's got to follow that). Glenn goes through some of his favorite parts of the speech---including a classic slam on Democrat Senate Majority leader (and moron) Harry Reid.
Glenn's advice for McCain
How can McCain possibly follow the Palin act? Glenn has written exactly what the Senator should say in tonight's speech. Will the former 'foot soldier' take Glenn's advice and succeed? What should he say?

Media goes after Palin
Glenn has 'not seen anything like this' in his 30 plus years of broadcasting---they way the media has just gone after Sarah Palin and even her family. For whatever the reason, McCain's VP pick has whipped the media up into a frenzy. The same media that couldn't stop gushing over Nancy Pelosi's glass ceiling, and the same media that praised the achievements of Hillary Clinton. Will they give Palin the same kudos?
Biden lauded, Palin scolded
The press fell in love with the Biden family at the Democratic National Convention---and even after he was picked they could barely see anything wrong with the man. Yet, Sarah Palin gets respected media hosts to suggest she won't be able to juggle her mom duties and the job duties. Interesting, that's not the take the media had on Biden---who, after his wife tragically died in a car crash (despite his instincts telling him otherwise) decided to still go to Washington as a newly single dad. Why is it okay to praise Biden for being the heroic single dad---yet bash Palin for wanting to work and be a mom?
P Diddy's poetic prose
Sometimes, it's better to just keep your mouth shut. After listening to P Diddy speak in his video blog about his reaction to Sarah Palin, it's become clear that this is a motto P Diddy should live by 100% of the time. If you need further convincing on this point you have either a) never heard P Diddy speak or b) no brain cells left.

Dem's laugh at Gustav
When former DNC chair Don Fowler got on a plane home from the Democratic National Convention and started yapping about how funny it was that Hurricane Gustav was going to hit New Orleans right at the start the GOP convention---he should have looked around a little bit. Perhaps he would have noticed the guy (Caleb Howe) sitting behind him in the Ronald Reagan t-shirt.
Liberal Bloggers unleashed
Keith Olbermann's home blogging site, The Daily Kos, got the internet rumor mill running on Sarah Palin's daughter, Bristol. They (with exactly ZERO proof) pushed the story that somehow Sarah Palin faked being pregnant in order to hide the fact that her teenage daughter, Bristol, was pregnant.
Daily Kos, internet rag
As if it wasn't bad enough for the Daily Kos to make up fake pregnancy rumors---they are doing their best to stifle opposing opinions. Even progressives who post there can get banned. Lee Stranahan who writes for the Huffington Post, was banned simply for posting that the Daily Kos ignored the Edwards story even though it seemed legit. Glenn highlights a scary part of the article----that even progressives are getting shut down when they disagree or get in the way of the uber left's agenda.

It's Palin!
Take that, Democrats! John McCain has made his VP pick and it's Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. Glenn loves this pick and was so excited that he said he could actually consider voting for the ticket because (what he knows so far) Glenn likes Palin.
Media gush over Obama
Keith Olbermann did his best to top his glowing reviews of previous DNC speeches---but it was Chris Matthews who really stepped up and praised the Lord Barry Obama by saying 'to hell with the critics'.
