(Monroe, OH) -- The 51-foot, 32,000 pound statue went up Wednesday, with little difficulty, according to Solid Rock Church administrator Ron Carter.  The first statue was a torso, reaching up to the sky.  This one is of Jesus standing, arms outstretched.  Carter says they accepted artists' designs from across the country, and decided to go with this one.

The first statue was destroyed by fire, caused by a lightning strike.  This new statue is made from more fire-resistant materials, and has a lightning rod installed.

Carter says they're planning a dedication ceremony and celebration the evening of Sunday, September 30.
